Light Show; A Christmas Fairy Tale, Archerfield Walled Garden

A few days to the winter solstice, a time of year once celebrated  as much as mid summer,
Folk moan about winter but it is an amazing time of year here on the east coast,
The sun at it`s lowest midday and daylight is only around 6 hours this now, but the low sun casts fantastic light and colours if only for a few short hours...

What better way to celebrate the solstice than to celebrate light? day or evening?...

All staff at work have been real busy preparing for this event and if down around the Fairy Trail you cannot but have noticed the electricians at work in the woods...

Apart from this things look normal around here, that is until sunset...

And for the next 3 weeks until the 6th January the woods here are transformed after sunset into an amazing light show...

Lights and effects prepared by JMP Productions who recently did the lights for the opening of the new Bridge; The Queensferry Crossing, and other lighting events...

Info and tickets here; A Christmas Fairy Tale

And you can get a heat around the fires and enjoy Mulled Cider or a hot chocolate and  food in the Winter barn - worth stopping by on a night ride cycle...

Just don`t run down the guy doing the parking at weekends unless you don`t want to see any more blog posts.... ;)

More soon...

  1. Fantastic and appreciated by the children and parents I bet. Youngsters love the sparkly lights in the trees.
