trying out the timelapse setting on the tachyon 2010 xc sports camera set up at work,4 films over 18 hours turning each film towards the sun...
camera takes a pic every 2 seconds...music is boards of canada...
watch for the rabbit/hare sticking its head up at 2mins 15secs!...
a film i made back around mid winter on the sandy trail behind muirfield golf course above gullane beach and never did upload...
a film i originaly made for the blog early autumn last year and had loaded onto photo bucket...re-edited with some tunes...
through last winter i would bolt on this home made mount for the camera above the hugh 4" surly endomorph tyre on the pugsley and sometimes film some "endocam"...
will do a summertime/harvest one this year...
got another progect; been looking for a nice (cheapish) surly 1x1 frame for ages...a frame you can do lots with...but most that have turned up have been well used and battered and still fetching over £150-there £330 new with fork, but ive also always wanted one of these and bought this for a bargin £75 on flea bay...its minted...a kona humu humu-watch ya call it...
sold as a singlespeed cruiser/clunker/retro it has the longest bicycle name in history...it is actually the name of a fish which is the Hawaiian national dish...
and it takes 3" tyres...
so suitable for semi fatbike out back with a non offset pugsley fork/endo front..47mm kris holm rims on hope hubs...i can ride that then can get some mates out on the beach and let them ride the pugsley...see what there missing!
thinking of building it as a cheapo singlespeed from junk lying about in garage with mud tyres for winter but longterm keeping it,buying a pugsley non offset fork,an extracycle kit then cutting that up to widen it to build a endomorph cargo bike..now that would be something different, couple of fat cargo bikes have been built but nothing like that over here, plenty to do this winter come the dark nights...as well as nightriding!
wow that's a great camera location.
ReplyDeleteI was enjoying that, and then I see that you've got a Kumu-yada-yada-yada frame for a fat bike.
I had one too! I bought it from Dave Nice, and it was modified a bit by a company from Denver. They widened where the chain stays attach to to the bottom bracket shell, and it did indeed feed an endomorph. Although it was about 1/4" at best, it did indeed work. It was a great bomb around bike. Heavy (I had a huge sized frame) but fun. I can't wait to see what you get with yours. Here's the day I got mine: http://jeromes-bikes.blogspot.com/2008/05/porter.html

Awesome! I've always wanted a Kona Humuhumu frame to build up... around town cruiser... retro XC mountain bike... fat bike... Seems like it could be built up into just about anything. Be sure and keep us updated on the project!
ReplyDeleteGreat videos man! Are those all with the Tachyon? Lovin the one mounted above tire on the Pugsley!
