First frost here of the approaching winter...a baltic cold Northerly wind blew in yesterday and temperatures plummeted...
Today was alot nicer as clear and we were rewarded with a big blue sky,out of the wind the sun warmed your back...was like a mid winter day yet alot of the trees still haven't turned yet...time for that yet...took some pictures midday...
so glad i work outdoors when the weather gives views like this...
off to the Pentland Hills in the distance tonight for the weekly midweek night ride with friends...love it...
I experienced our first frost almost four weeks ago while on an overnight bike camping trip. I love the feeling of winter coming waking up to a thick layer of hard frost on everything and my water bottles partially frozen.
ReplyDeleteYesterday was the first day this winter that the car needed scraping.

ReplyDeleteChilly willy! Light the stove, put a big soup on, dig out the hat and scarf, or for the bike, resort to the fleecy lined bib tights, the Next-to-Skin Winter jacket and the big lobster mitts - but you already know I'm a roadie, bro! Lovely pics, by the way. I love East Lothian (and miss it...)!
