Windy
Scotland was hit by (predicted) storm force gales on Thursday, it was wild! 165 MPH gusts were recorded on Cairngorm, 105 MPH gusts on the closed Tay Bridge - all major bridges were closed by midday, air, road and rail travel was all disrupted and most folk who could do so got home from work early -:)
A popular extreme sport in these conditions is `Ned Kiteing`...
The Gale has been given its own name, Just like those American hurricanes we see on the telly,
but in typical Scottish tongue its not quite the usual name...
