Moray Coast, Lossiemouth to Covesea Lighthouse...

With a lowering of Lothians to Stage 2 we finally got away for a few days holiday, and headed to the Moray Coast. Staying at Lossiemouth 3 nights we explored the coast, it's fine beaches and woodland trails, and some of the most intact WW2 Coastal Defences on Scotland`s East coast...

View from the Air BnB,

Unpacked we cycled west from the town to the lighthouse, watching RAF Tyhoons fly in and out of the Airbase, which was a hive of activity now as it also home to the Poseidon MRA1 Anti Submarine aircraft, we saw them sitting on the airfield but not flying, you can read about this new aircraft Here...

A well camouflaged machine gun pill box perched on the cliffs...

The granite mix of the concrete anti tank blocks here makes for concrete that looks only a few years old, not 80 years old...

Going to be a fun couple of days exploring...

Wee film, Song is `Adrift` by Tycho,

More soon...
