Mid July, and been a real busy last 3 weeks working for last weeks Scottish Open Golf Championship, long hours early morning from sunrise and then evening until sunset, and a lot of overtime, so not had much time to get out cycling...
On a split shift I came in for the evening in the Jeep, having dropped G off in Gullane who then cycled home while I went back to work, first taking some of the lads for a wee spin!...
On the bike front I managed to buy the New Microshift Acolyte 1x8 drive chain from the USA as totally out of stock here in the UK, like so much bike parts are and I installed it on one of the old Mk1 Pugsleys, Real keen to try this out as the items are real cheap at £30 for the ED coated steel 42t cassette, £30 for the clutch mech, and £13 for the thumb shifter, and add a rustproof KMC 8 speed chain at £10 for what should be a pretty bombproof set up for coastal cycling...
Will report back on how the groups rides but after a quick cycle around the street it should be a good budget option...
In the meantime, another video from Team G503 on Jeep history about one of the most iconic vehicle grills recognisable...
More soon...
