Our last day cycling from Glenmore and what a cracker... the weather, the route, the scenery, does not get much better than todays cycle on lovely gravel tracks through breathtaking highland scenery, we cycled from Glenmore campsite to Rothiemurchus on the old Logging Road track then up around Loch an Eilein with its classic highland postcard castle on an island, then across to join the Larig Thru Pass at the famous Cairngorm Club footbridge, then descended on gravel roads through de forested woodlands which gave views across to cairngorm rang with snow still on slops and blue skies with white fluffy clouds drifting by... had to put into words how perfect today was cycling here, but it did round off a perfect week after Cromarty Firth bikepacking 2 days, we were both really happy with our holiday, only 1 days rain while cycling (1 morning really) quite being May and no midges either!, again the Highland hospitality of kind friendly people you spoke to in shops and passing farms and houses . it really felt like a world away form the rush and bustle of the rat race around Edinburgh and the Central belt...
And a famous bridge, on an equally famous route, its like riding through history...
Well earned ice creams on a highland beach...
Home tomorrow...
