1st Dry Trails of the Year...
After one of the wettest February`s for years we have had a week and a half with no rain, spent the weekend out on the 29er enjoying the clean dry trails devoid of overhanging vegetation, The 1st signs of spring are around-snow drops and crocus`s are out and catkins on trees as well as woodlands full of bird song...
Been a long winter but warmer days are coming...
Saturday a wee solo ride through the local Estates;
Gosford...
And Luffness...
Sunday i drove 18 miles to Mid Lothian for some more singletrack delight organised by friend Steven, East Lothian may have the stunning scenery but Mid Lothians Industrial Heritage has left has miles of old routes now narrowed to sweet singletrack,
A great days riding with friends who know there bikes, know how to ride them and in the sunny weather it was a great 30 or so miles of trail after trail...
All this is only 10 miles south of Edinburgh City Centre...
What a blast! I thought for sure you were going to jump that big log in the Gosford film. I really liked the ride in mid-lothians (10 miles south of edinburgh?) - that looked a lot of fun, I would have loved to have tried to keep up !
ReplyDeletei need to refit the Time pedals and clip-in to keep spinning to ride like that again for an hour or 2!
