Man Cave Activity...A blog about a bench...
I was given a nice Record No 5 vice from fellow Pugsley owner Tommy, Been wanting to make a movable work bench for sawing, grinding, polishing etc for a while, something i can pull out side before doing some dirty work. A phone call to Friend Eddie and Saturday morning would see 3 6 feet long 6x6" posts and a scaffold plank turned into a neat bench,
Eddie set about measuring the uprights and after some sawing we piled the stuff into his van and headed to his workshop where he set about sawing the joints that would make the bench strong and solid...
I promoted myself to dog entertainer and grabbed a brush to sweep up under the machines...
:)
Joints made...
And glued and screwed....
Scaffold plank for the top...
Into the van and back to coastkid HQ and back to my cave...
Storage shelf underneath...
All done it was time for lunch...
Then i painted it with garden wood stain to match the woodwork in my cave...
Some bolts from work that came out a dismantled and scrapped Gym machine bolted on the vice...
Nice vice!...
Ready for use...
With the clocks changing this weekend it is light to 7pm now. made the most of it tonight and split logs, tided garden and then made a tyre rack. We won`t zoom in to show my joinery work as well shoddy!, but painted up last night it works!....
4 days to Forth Fat,..
