Great winter sunshine day out on the Surly Cross-Check `Freewheel` single speeding today, mostly around around the JMW to mums for lunch with a few detours of old roads and favourite trails along the way :)

The Surly Cross-Check has been a great fixed wheel commuter and now with a freewheel it is ok off road too, real quite being single speed it`s only fault is what is an ideal gear ratio for on the road in calm conditions is too high for off road on tight trails and a bit of a workout on climbs and headwinds,
I am building a Shimano Alfine 8 speed internal gear hub (IGH) to fit soon to make this bike even more versatile...
