Midweek Cycle... Surly Moonlander; the big one is still king of the dunes...
I have to take time off work midweek now for the required few hours work early every other weekend now instead of being paid, So i get a half day instead of weekend pay, but when you don't get an overtime rate your as well with the time off!, and to be honest i would rather have the time off mid week during the day and be away from work and out riding my bike!... seeing as i have no choice in the matter i choose which day suits with the weather forecast.
I headed down to Peffersands midday with Mowgli on a very overcast day, there was rain on the way, and as i type this in the evening it`s pouring down outside, first proper rain for weeks...
As elsewhere along our coastline there is loads of sand blown up here too at Peffersands by recent weeks of gale force winds, here below this tumbled down WW2 Pill box all the rocks have disappeared below the sand!, This pic is looking south down the beach to Tyninghame...
And north towards Seacliff, this is usually rocks here!...
Back toward Peffersands the beach was deserted...
Here is some film riding through the dunes here, loads of new footpaths have been walked through increasing dunes here as they grow over the last few years...
