Velo Solo,
Velo...
With a new Fatbike on pre order I sold the Surly Moonlander and the green Surly Pugsley with Alfine IGH to fund it and other stuff to workmate Iain last week...
The big Moonlander is an amazing bike, This bike will out ride your riding skills where it can be ridden. The grip across rocks and sea bed exposed at low tide, or float in real soft sand compared to a 4" fatbike like the Pugsley is unreal. And being a first generation fatbike like the puglsey using an offset rear wheel you can fit any rear hub you want to use. The most expensive bike i have ever bought, worth every penny...
The green Pugsley is the third Pugsley i have owned and sold on. This frame was running all my bling kit previously. I set it up with Alfine gear hub and narrower bars and small Ergon grips, BG saddle and flat pedals for Iain`s wife who will be using it.
So why you selling them?
Blame 29+ bikes!,
I am moving from Two good fat bikes (4" and 5") and one 4" Fatbike with option of 29+ wheels (the KramPug);
to One good Fatbike and Two 29+ specific bikes-I just love that big wheel size for above the high tide line...
The new Surly Wednesday is going to be my go to Fatbike when it arrives, with my 6 year old original Pugsley as a winter/spare fatbike. The old Pug also has 29+ wheels and untill the Wednesday arrives in the UK will be my only full Fatbike for coastal cycling...
So the Wednesday will join the Surly ECR which is set up as an all day bike packing/off road utility/commuter rig...
Which leaves another 29+ rig...
Meanwhile back at the ranch...
Been getting on with the house renovations in the last month, were getting there...
Vinyl flooring still to come, and still need that odd size door!...
I had been thinking about selling the Moonlander bike to fund all these plans, then my workmate said-it`s amazing what you can do when you beg, borrow, skip rake and check the free stuff pages on line, and so the Moonie investment is going back into bikes helping fund the new Surly Wednesday...
The house will be nice and cosy for the coming dark winter evenings...
Some things you have to buy new, and i reckon i need a new mattress, The other week i woke up in the early hours having nodded off on the sofa and the late night shopping channel had kicked in on TV, Advertising memory foam mattresses and monthly payments... Oh that looks comfy i thought as i shuffled off to bed...
Next day i thought about that advert on the telly, aye you can have a lot of fun on a new mattress... :)
Solo..
But thing is, well i`m single again... yep...
A phone call... then left hanging for a few weeks... nothing like getting the rug pulled out from under you!
What happened has of course left me feeling gutted, it has been to say the least a bit disappointing... :(
What happened to talking?...
Oh well... "Shit Happens"... back to doing my own thing again...keeping busy...
Idea!
Hell you can sleep when your dead!... the mattress can wait...
I still got a pair of 29+ rims and bike parts given as a gift from friend Gary B...
You could buy a mattress, or could buy this frame set!...
Got a new pair of Chronicle 29+ tyres to use, and a 1x10 drive train to fit with the used parts and i hope to have the second 29+ bike up and running soon!
More soon...
Sorry to hear about your GF troubles. Been there. It sucks. :(
