Sunday Big Sky day; Surly ECR; East Coast Rollin...
Sunday dawned clear with big towering clouds that brought a couple of heavy showers through the day...
I have hardly ridden the Surly ECR so took it out on a loop to Mums for a family get together for her Birthday via the coastal John Muir Way trail, then home via the Longniddry Haddington railway line walk and the Garleton Hills Ridge Road on a ride that was rewarding in big sky scenery and a decider on what to do with this bike...
Alpkit bar bag had a tyre to pass on to my big bro...
Cherry blossom has passed it`s best now...
Leaving town and through Yellowcraig to Dirleton and onto Gullane and Aberlady...
Around Gosford Bay and afternoon meal at Mums...
Home via the Garletons i missed some big showers and soaked up the big sky scenery...
The Surly ECR is a great bike, also owning a Krampus 29+ and a pair of KramPug wheels for my geared Pugsley i would find this build on a Surly Pugsley more usefull as it would give me a Jones bar Alfine hub KramPug 29+ that i can if i want fit 4" Fatbike wheels, one camping /long day bike with both wheel size options so more versatile. And so i have made plans for this soon and when another frame arrives i will post up another bikes parts swap over!...
