Weekend and with heavy rain forecast for Sunday i decided better get out Saturday when still dry,
The day dawned with an angry sky...
Mid morning and down through the woods towards Gullane...
Onto the beach and some big waves breaking on the rocks at the west end of Gullane bay...
The sand was real firm and smooth despite all the high/low tides and sand that has been moved in recent weeks...
With grippy soles the Five-Ten Canyoneer boots enable to walk safely across the greasy wet rocks and i did a bit wave watching for a while...

Moving on and if the sand was as smooth as this west of Gullane Point it would be worth while riding out to the sub wrecks in Aberlady bay...
Was perfect, firm and smooth...
Easterly Sub...
Westerly Sub...
The blog post on the Sub wrecks is the most popular blog post to date, it has been updated a few times including recently when the film of the live fire experiment in 1946 was published on YouTube,

Heading back east and once again the rocks under Gullane cliffs have enough sand cover to be able to cycle through here again...
Along an unusually near deserted Gullane sands...
And at Freshwaterhaven i turned inland back to the van, a nice wee cycle on the coast...
More soon...
