Cycle around JMCP with friends...

The uncovered F from WW2 West Barns Ranges...

Another day out a short cycle with friends Phil and Anne up visiting the shire on holiday for a week, and today we cycled along to JMCP to meet them and G showed them the WW1 and WW2 history of the area she has pieced together from various peoples knowledge, it has been a bit of a jigsaw but using the information from several people and getting a hold of the 1940 Bylaws for West Barns Ranges  solved what was what and where it was, and what it was for...

And in the duns behind the Matilda Tank wreck remains we dug another part of it out the dunes...

About on the Tank is stamped 1942, so it is a MK II Matilda according to records...

People have said there were 3 of these tanks out here used for target practice but we have no documented evidence and it maybe internet hear say...

Anyway here is a wee film of our meet up and pootle around the Park,

More soon...
