Cycling Around Glenmore; Kingussie to Aviemore Speyside Way

Another fine day weather wise as we enjoyed a fun long but easy day cycling the Speyside way from Aviemore to Kingussie. It was an out and back route. A song Westerly headwind had G reckoning we would be better doing the second section by road to Kingussie then we would enjoy the tailwind on the return while off-road. It worked a treat and why the film starts at Kingussie and I ended up filming the whole section this way. We missed a small section that has steps near the boating centre but overall a real fun winding gravel track roller smooth being quite new. We also came across a Slow Worm, I don't remember the last time I saw one of these, probably as a kid.

G took pics and I did the filming, what we usually do these days...

An honesty box with home made craft stuff, G left many fr a lovely pendant - you would not see this kind of honesty in East Lothian, but up here is a very different life to back home, relaxed, polite friendly people everywhere you went...

Being Wednesday Bothy Bikes bike shop was closed but we popped in to see Dave when we headed home on Friday , Dave came to Forth Fat Fatbike Gathering and still rides his Surly Krampus and Ice Cream Truck, it was good to see him again and have a coffee and chat on the Friday, and I bought some used Surly Clownshoe rims from him, rare to find now!, 3 pairs now sitting in the cave for the future...

Wee film, Song is `Belfast` by Orbital

More soon...
