first frost to glorious mud
just checked forcast for weekend and looks like cold sideways rain/gales,sounds right for november!,pity as im off to do some beaches i havent ridden yet on the pugsley, just need to get wrapped up,least i can take pics with the tachyon camera even if raining,
rewind to monday and we had our first proper frost,-2 at my house,we have had a touch of frost already but it was `ground frost`when the air temperature is above 0 degees (celcius)
the white rye was just coming in as i left for work at 7.30am...
and there was a mist over low areas where ditches run between fields...
it was the first morning of winter you could feel the cold air burn in your throat cycling, anyone in alaska reading this and about to comment `you should come here -40 etc..!` remember we have damp cold with condensation,so it feels alot colder than the same temperature in a dry cold environment,
only one crow on the old tree today...
at work there was a fog bank that drifted in and out most of the morning...
then by mid afternoon the temperature had already dropped and by home time there was a sharp cold nip in the air again...
and this was the fourth day of no winds at all, very rare!,the pond at work was like a milk pond...
with the last 3 days overcast and damp looks like mud and wet leaves if cycling offroad this weekend, luckily theres the beach!
