John Muir Park; Return for wood and fun...
Back to JMP for some more fire wood this morning, and it was nice and quiet, it usually is away from the car park with just the odd dog walker and i soon had a few trailer loads cut and transported back to the van...
Lovely light in the woods...
Trailer and logs off loaded, i went for a cycle out around Sandy Hirst point, again on the coast here is another area ever changing, a sandy spit of land that has grown creating a salt marsh in-between and Marram grass covered low dunes that now have Scots Pine trees growing which will in time cover the point and create more forest, as you can see from the painting on the notice board below all this has happened in the last 100+ years...
Out to Belhaven Bay and the exposed sand below the high tide line is quite soft this now..
So i headed out to the point beside the Tyne Estuary through the Marram grass threading through the sandy single track trails that criss cross the point out to the Estuary...
It is always soft out at the point, even at 6 psi and 4" tyres...
Wee film riding out to Sandy Hirst point,

Heading across the Bay i rode back through the woods and there is some nice sandy single track trails through the woods, so i stuck on the `sports bra` Go Pro chest mount that gives a riders view of a trail and did some film on two sections,
