So many new faces, and new friends met who travelled a long way to this wee town,
Thank you so much to so many of you for helping out with everything,

Good friends- the local riders for taking leads over the weekend and keeping  folk rolling in the right directions- it was nice to get to ride mid field and meet folks!,

Pat from ISON the  UK Surly distributors stopped over along with Mike Hind and we unpacked things, packed things, ate and drunk and had a good laugh...

Present from Sanny, cheeky bugger!... :)

And a frame swap to do soon... :)

 Yum...

This stuff was a bit wild...

 Big box of Squirt Dry lube-ideal for beach riding goodies arrive form Carl at In2 Dust.co.uk to hand out at the weekend...

We always play up all the boozing at FORTH FAT, but this is everyones all together...

Friday;
Tent pitched-Surly Demo day- NB Law ride...
Friday was sunny with big fluffy clouds drifting across-classic East Lothian big sky day as we went for a cycle into town after i pitched the tent and we re met the guys who arrived from Wales the previous night...

Pat had set up his demo day at Law Cycles,
Yep! those are 29 x 3" 29+ Surly Dirt Wizards!, they exist and are coming soon...

We went up North Berwick Law to show the guys on their first visit here our back yard...

Big blue sky, big grins...

Friday Evening;
Campsite and Gin...
By 8pm steady rain came on and we squeezed into the porch of my tent and enjoyed one of the two bottles of excellent NB Gin we were kindly gifted, made here right in North Berwick this stuff is superb, as everyone agreed!...

Thanks to Dave from Skye for a very kind gift from his back yard. I will treasure every nip from this bottle and remember this great weekend here on the coast...the hip flask was duly filled for Saturday...

Saturday;
NB-Gullane Hill- Sub wrecks- Coastal cruise to NB...
The big day, the rain was off by 8am as we got ready for the 10.30 ride out from the Celtic Cross for the 22 mile loop from town west to Gullane Hill and out to the remains of the two WW2 XT Class midget submarine wrecks...   I went down first to Steampunk Cafe for some coffee with Dave from Bothy Bikes, also a Surly dealer, and riding a Krampus 29+ and ICT over the weekend...
I need to visit Avimore for a weekend and go ride there as been years since i cycled at Avimore...

53 fatbikes ready to roll!,  a new European record...

Along the high street and the noise of the tyres was unreal! lol...

Then the John Muir Way to Yellowcraigs-Dirleton and up to Gullane Hill...

Regrouped it was down the `First trail` to the cliffs known locally as `Maggie's Loup` and through the Nature Reserve and across the sands to the awaiting sub wrecks bang on low tide....

Many first visitors are always surprised at the tiny size of these little ships, and that 4 men squeezed into them and went on such dangerous missions, like `Operation Source` 1000 miles across to Norway...

Great memorials to those sailors who never returned...

Time to get rolling east back to North Berwick...

My big brother Scot was enjoying himself!...

That will be 52 Fatbikes...

And so 106 tyre tracks, and very little impression made of our passing...

Sky was starting to clear as we sat for a break and nibble some food, and share a hip flask of Isle of Skye Malt with some passing walkers...
pics by my big bro...

It`s a hard life but someone has to do it...  :)

Big sky day again!...

Into North Berwick...

Saturday evening;
Steampunk Cafe-Pizza-Ship Inn...Campsite Gin Palace...
The Big Blu van was at Steampunk cafe and we warmed in the sun as we enjoyed coffee and fresh cooked pizza...
