Been a real busy last 5 or 6 weeks with work, 2 Scottish Open`s and a lot of hard work with the wet weather and the early/late hours, though we were rewarded with a lot of overtime - that is saved for a future long term toy i have always wanted...
So the blog has been posting previous rides that were scheduled...
Back onto regular working hours of early starts and afternoon finishes and after split shifts for several weeks it`s great to get out and about in the afternoons again, despite the showery weather,
July has been recorded as the wettest here on record, and by August 13th we had exceeded July`s rain fall!, one day we had 30mm of rain in under 12 hours, that is nuts!,
So with the trails now a bit muddy away from the coast and many seriously overgrown with grass and stinging weeds as seen in some previous posts last month i`m just cycling on the coast now until the main harvest kicks in, the other evening after work i headed down to Yellowcraig and a receding tide, to cycle along to Archerfield beach, where i had a look at the two small caves as been a while since i have been in them...
The steps someone made a few years ago are still there on the westerly cave but the caves are both filling up now with drifting sand...
Same with the easterly cave, no one has recorded evidence of why the wall was built at this cave, who by, or for what purpose...
Heading back to the van and the usual weather patterns of the last 6 weeks-blues skies in one direction...
And a heavy downpour coming in the other direction...
