New Classic 350 Royal Enfield Motorcycle

Built like a Gun...

Been a few years since Motorbikes have been on the blog, some things though once their in your blood never leave you...

Thing with most motorbikes available today is they are over engineered and far too complicated, and expensive to purchase and repair if they simply fall over on the side stand...

The Royal Enfield Bullet has since re released here in the UK in the 1990s interested me with its simple mechanicals and basic function. A new unit engine was introduced in 2008 and special army green ltd editions caught my eye, and we met an owner in Lossiemouth in June last year when we were there bike packing and chatting to the owner he invited me to sling a leg over it...

Been chewing over one of these ever since, but had enough on with the Jeep and push bikes so put on the back burner...
This new engine of the 500 Bullet is not without a few small issues, possibly caused by the vibration...

I want a bike that looks, sounds like it rolled out of WW2 from days as a despatch bike, but at 4am in summer I want to jump on it and hit the button and ride to work with no pre ride checks etc...

Roll on 2022 and a totally new from the ground up 350cc bike has been launched with British engineers involved, and the Indian concept of function and simplicity...

The reviews are really good, £4300. - I paid that for a Honda XR 400 in 2000!, no vibration having a balancer shaft, runs on e10 fuel, 100 mpg... aye 100mpg! an ideal commuter motorbike... £170 fully comp insurance...

Enjoy the films below, that itch is getting real itchy...

More soon...
