I was moved by the kind words said by them about our father Archie and how his Knowledge of Nature and the Countryside has for many, set them on a path of a bigger appreciation of the outdoors and nature. My father would be happy to know that...
I have had a lot of emails from friends and people who knew my father, or read my blog and read of the news in the East Lothian Courier or heard of his passing on Radio Scotland`s ""Out of Doors" programme on Saturday morning. Thank you, all of you, on behalf of our family....
On the day our father passed away the first Gannets arrived on the Bass Rock to nest on the 26th February, The start of over 500,000 sea birds that will arrive to breed and nest on our islands here on the East Lothian coast...
Early Spring is in the air with woodland bulbs also starting to flower and birds starting to build nests. The annual cycle of life still continues...
I will write a post of our father Archie soon, and what i have been passed on from him as interests which i will continue to post on the blog.
My Dad would not have liked me to sit about upset and so i have still been out and about around the County enjoying my interests, alone, with Francis and her Spaniel, and friends...

Thoughtful post Bruce, we'll get out in the Heron to visit the Gannets this summer. Steampunk in North Berwick! The Earth is round! This is all too radical for me.
