Midweek cycle... Back on the coast...

Paid last week so stuff orderd to finish the Surly Wednesday. I bought some Sram X5 cranks to get the requried chain clearance with the 5" tyres fitted...

Red rim tape and mudguards fitted, crankset will need to wait until the BB arrives...

I got a text from Christian for a beach ride Thursday evening,  meeting at North Berwick the overcast evening would clear and reveal an amazing sky...

I bet in 10 years you don`t see these rocks as the growing dune is slowly covering them...

The 29+ wheels were a bit out their depth here on real soft wet sand, the 5" tyres on my Surly wednesday rode ok, but look how deep the footprints of a walker are!!!

Out to the sub wrecks, quieter than the last visit!...

Clouds were starting to break up and the wind dropped, turning out a lovely evening...

Back to Gullane then Dirleton to Yellowcraig and Christian headed west again returning to Edinburgh whil i rode east back to North Berwick...

Yes i really like the Surly wednesday!...

Real low  tide and the remains of the HMS Ludlow wreck visable, you can real about how this ship came to Yellowcraig Here...

Meanwhile a lovely susnset unfolded from the break up of clouds...

A Heron fishing on the coast...

Back in town an an empty harbour, ankle deep mud made it non rideable to get inside!

Like to stay and watch the sunset but real tired after another real busy week and had a bike to wash so back to the car and home...

More soon...
