No Fog on the Tyne to Dunbar...
Friend Ped texted early this morning, on the bus to Haddington to walk back to Dunbar on the River Tyne trail and John Muir Way trail to Dunbar.
I rode to Beanston on the river tyne after leaving the main road to cycle a harvested Winter Barley field at Athelstaneford Mains farm, finally some stubble field riding!...
I met Ped and his Collie Fly on the tyne trail and was happy to peddle along in first gear at walking speed and chat with Ped...
Great to ride a mowed trail!, did not mind the grass build up on the tyres and frame!...
Past Hailes Castle and again another non maintained section of trail, we stopped and chatted with a local man who walks this daily with his dog and he agreed it`s a joke the state of advertised trails for families and in fact anyone who wants walk or cycle them...
Food stop in East linton for Ped...
Daft pics in bubble mirrors taken and a heron fishing on the Tyne near Smeaton Mill...
Across the ford near the Knowes farm and a hilarious sign, which John Muir Way are you on?...
As Ped and i have found visitors to East Lothian often complain about the signage or lack of it, or the confusion of the signs!!!...
Tunnel of err love...
High tide at Hedderwick and Belhaven Bay, and you see why the bridge there is called `The Bridge to nowhere`...
Winterfield looking good...
Street Art; Vader walking his dog...
After chips in Dunbar and cheerio to Ped it was back home through John Muir Park and from the Knowes ford via Binning Woods...
More soon...
