While the harvest waits for the main Wheat event and the combines start on the Oilseed Rape fields we had heavy showers at the end of last week and i suggested to friend Craig we could ride a loop of trails inland that mostly are waist high nettle etc free-though after the recent downpours would be muddy in places and while i usually would ride these trails on 29+ wheels with Craig only having his Surly Pugsley Ops shod with Surly Nate tyres i would ride my Surly Wednesday which now has a Surly Nate front tyre and Schwalbe Jumbo Jim 4" rear, which is proving to be a great combo, the bike always lets go on the rear tyre first and so allows more control in wet stuff...
So back to the local trail crossroads, no deal with the devil today... were heading inland on a loop that would cover over 45 miles and despite leaving late at 11am and an hours stop in Haddington at the local bike shop we would not get back to base until 8pm...
The above pictures were all i took today and then this last pic on the Garletons before we rode home on the road, All the pics now on are by Craig, as i was filming, i shot so much film with the Go pro i thought for a change i would make loads of short films and leave many sections of trails unedited so you can see the trails from the riders point of view...

The Village Hall at the Boggs Holdings used to be a hut at RAF Drem Airfield in WW2...
From here we rode to Butterdean where Craig got major cramps in his leg!, so we baled out for home..
