Saturdays; It`s a tough job but someones got to do it...

Saturday...

My Surly Wednesday has been a non runner while waiting on a new 11 speed chain.
3 months and chain was done... how crap is that man?!!!
Been reading loads of 11 speed short chain life horror story`s on line and i think i will stick with a 10 speed system using the Sunrace cassette option and Shimano Zee mech and shifter as is on my Surly Krampus once the 11 speed drive chain is worn out...
Any hows Saturday dawned clear and big skies of drifting fluffy clouds here in the shire...

Craig turned up at HQ for a cycle and we rode west off road to the coast via trails, tracks and the former WW2 airfield RAF Drem to Gullane and the coast...

There was a lot happening here in August 1940 as Squadrons were rotated from front line  in SE England to Drem...

Moving on and Gulllane and down to the coast...

North Berwick was heaving with folks!, Highland Games and sailing Regatta, but we did get some chips and Iron brew consumed sitting at the war memorial, and then up past the highland Games and it was great to hear the pipes...

The bands were soon replaced by the drone of combine harvesters as we rode to Whitekirk and an art expedition via Becky`s strip Byway..

Some film i shot on the Go pro...
Song is `The Great Ceilidh Swindle` by The Peatbog Fairies...
