The 21st dawned a stunning day, i got up early and walked out to watch the sunrise and the day dawned with a big blue sky with drifting light cloud,
By midday it was warm, esp if in a sheltered area...
We finished a 3 day project at work building a picket fence and gate across the front of the gardens...
Home time and after a wee visit to see M, i went for my Solstice cycle,
This year i chose local trails around Gullane and an xc route around Gullane Hill...
Saltcoats...
Old railway track to Gullane...
Onto `Drem Ride` then gravel to Luffness farm...
Short half mile out of the village by road and across the bridge over to the Reserve...
A right turn after the bridge and the old road to Gala law, though would turn off before then and take the Water Works service station road that leads onto the former WW2 Army metal road leading to Gullane Point...
From the cliffs above the coast i climbed up to Gullane Hill, soaked up the views then dropped down to Gullane village and stopped in at the ruins of the old church...
Ride done it was home and fire up the chimenia and open a Cider, walking out to the Railway to view the sunset...
Sunset 10.02pm
Sitting out to nearly midnight the sky was still light...
Here is my Solstice film for 2018
