2 days cycling on the coast...

 All pics Go Pro stills...

An Autumn weekend meet riding the Forth Fat routes. School mid term break and appalling weather forecast did not see many riders make it but we still had a blast both days!,  Saturday the weather was biblical with rain all day, yep all day! lol,  5 brave souls turned up for a detour route with the small number on trails i would not use with a larger group so was nice to show them some of the other sweet coastal trails here.  It`s good to see other riders from other areas impressions of riding what i and friends take for granted and they were impressed with the variety of terrain, and the challenge and options of lines...

Saturday;
The rain was biblical all the way to the subs where it lessened to a light drizzle, err for a bout 5 minutes!, so i started filming from there and all these pics were from the film as not the weather to bring out the phone or camera,

Deserted beaches were the best thing about todays weather, we saw two couples in 18 miles riding!...

All wet now but still happy and grinning!...

Hot drink and food at Archerfield Walled Garden...

Back down to the coast and bright light to the west!

around the corner though and east was a sea haar drifting in, it made for an eerie atmosphere as we negotiated an incoming tide ...

Beats spending a wet Saturday going around IKEA!...

Just beat the tide into NB....

Here is some film from Saturday,
Song is `Queens of the Breakers` by The Barr Brothers

Sunday;
Sunday dawned dry and bright though light cloud did not shift until late in the afternoon once we were done and back in NB. Mick had a bad chest so headed for home and Craig had to work, so was just locals Colin and Donald for what would be a great ride on what were really slippy testing conditions on the Car rocks...

One family on the beach then no one except two mussel gatherers along to Peffersands...

Waggon ruts from years of seaweed gathering...

Only Fatbike wheels along here these days...

Hardest riding behind us it was along the sands, the bottom of the dunes washed out with recent high tides so sadly no dune surfing...

Secret trail...

Time to head for Tyninghame Cafe

Fed and watered we rode through Binning Wood  in Autumn colours now, looking forward to a sunny day in here soon...

Colin split south for home on the JMW and we rode north back to NB as the sun burst out, ending two great days cycling...

Some film from the Sunday ride;
Song is `Anenome` by The Brian Jonestown Massacre

Fatbike Cycle; 14th Oct 2018 from coastkid71 on Vimeo.
