Solstice Cycle 2019...

Friday 21st June at 5am,  Sunrise 4.24am

Solstice +1  Saturday 22nd, 7am...

Friday afternoon into evening was blowing a gale so i waited until more favourable conditions Saturday for a dawn cycle from NB west to Aberlady Bay and back...

`The Watcher`...  with sun hat!

Deserted East Beach it was great to get out early and rare you get this place to yourself without early morning dog walkers and runners,  would be mobbed here by 11am when i returned...

Crystal clear waters...

Wee film around the Boating Pond, Song is `Incompleteness` by Max Cooper

Only 2 hours past high tide, but the retreating tide would be out enough in an hour or so to reach the sub wrecks out on the exposed sands in Aberlady...

Deserted west beach, both beaches would be mobbed with visitors by 11am when i would be returning,

`Miss the morning miss the day`  so true...

See the amount of sand built up here a freshwaterhaven...

Leaving the coast i went inland through the woods and up above Gullane Car park in the shadow of Gullane Hill...

Across the Reserve and a Roe Deer not to worried about my passing...

Onto the sands...

Look at the human footprint, then either a Stoat or Weasel?, then the Fatbike at 4 psi ;eaving less of a footprint....

Out to the subs...

Nearly there...

Stunning weather, worth waiting a day for a time of year to celebrate....

Here is a second film riding to the Bay, Song is `Trail Away` by Frost
