Midweek cycle Pt 2 of 3; cycle around Prestongrange Museum...

I need to return along here once the museum reopens again and have a read through the history of this place as it is indeed full of history...

Thousands  of bricks were made here,  every WW2 building around the country is build with Preston Grange bricks. This place is from a bygone era where people worked hard for a living and people of today need to read about their lives, 

It was a hard life for those that worked in these industries but it was these industries that helped build the British Empire and should always be remembered...






It's a shame that modern day health and safety see everything surrounded with signed fencing...




The Beam engine is a beautiful building...







The brick kiln has the same fencing around it, we reworked through this as kids, a pic below found online shows inside the kiln...
