0.5 meter low tide cycle at JMCP...

Another wee local solo cycle as G working shifts,  0.5 meter low tide, probably the lowest tide this Autumn, so good enough reason to ride out to the Estuary mouth of the river Tyne in John Muir Country Park and follow the river until the mudflats that usually are to slimy to cycle from experience...

I often pop out and do the same ride around JMCP, but it`s only the route that is roughly the same, as the sands change with the tides and can be firm or soft, then there is the light - and that is always changing as you have land sea and sky all meeting, wildlife  - mostly birdlife-i don't really photograph it as I cannot get decent pics with a phone but the birds feeding and flying over are always present, this now for instance most noticeable are the geese here for the winter and moving to graze or roost morning and evening...

After recent rain there is a bit current in the Tyne a sit exits into the sea out at the point...

Another fin tip from a 3" WW2 mortar... safe to pick up and inspect...

Here is a good advert why you should not run barefoot on the beach...

Stormy clouds drifted down the hills and I was only home 5 minutes and the heavens opened for a few hours, timed that right! and glad to get out before it arrived!...
