coastride...the calm after the storm...
into april through a crazy week of weather...luckily today, saturday dawned calm and clear...
i was itching to get out on the beach today...i cycled the 6 miles on the road to the coast at aberlady then forded the peffer burn at low tide near midday below the kings kist rock at kilspindie and rode around aberladay bay to gullane point past the WW2 submarines...then east to north berwick and home...
all the driftwood and rubbish was nearly all gone along the high tideline today...swept away with the storms last week...someone has lost a wee boat though...
wont be riding down these dunes for a while...sand will blow back in in time...
more erosion...
with no tideline to beachcomb it was down to the waterline into north berwick...
a nice ride...some food now then home along part of the john muir trail...
midday low tide again tomorrow so more beachriding ...

Was a great start to the day but we got fogged in here - just 10 miles or so away- until about 4pm before it turned into a beautiful evening again.
ReplyDeleteNice photo's as usual Coastkid.
Your photography is a skill I envy, I'm crap at it... :-(
ReplyDeletealistair; amazing the difference in weather in our wee county...think its because of the forth meeting the north sea having something to do with it..often rains in NB but not in dunbar and vise versa!
ReplyDeleteclive; thanks....just a £60 cannon A470 powershot compact i use and no photo editing...just fill the frame and click..
