This weeks midweek The Bike Chain rideout was around some trails in Mid lothian near Newtongrange led by friend Steven with a planned hour or so daylight trails then a pub stop then some more nightriding once proper dark...
8 riders meant my job as tailend charlie/sweeper was ok and i had also brought along the pugsley for giggles and as some friends haven't seen it yet..it proved itself easily up to a trailride despite its extra weight and on some of the steep gravel climbs crawled up while regular bikes spun out...
the evenings ride was as always around here on great woodland trails of singletrack and with the thick leaf cover although never far from a main road or housing estate often it felt like we were riding in the middle of nowhere...
Pugsley meets pigsley...
good views north from above Gorebridge across to Edinburgh...
Bramble Whiskey was passed round...also known as Rambo...was lovely and smooth...
flyby shot hence the blur!...
once the sun set i couldn't film so just got a couple of pics when we stopped...
rode the good trails around Newbattle, made alot better being dark...
ride leader and local Steven led a great route...
quick stop at the Sun Inn for a drink and crisps...
here`s some film before dark, one day i will have a helmet camera that films in low light...
