Rolling FAT into 2014...

Happy New Year everyone!
Hope you had a good Hogmanay-be it a quiet early bed and early ride to get outdoors on the 1st, or went to a wild all night party!
I kinda did both!. We cycled to the lakeside party on the estate where Francis lives and had a great evening beside a bonfire under clear skies and there was fire works too!...

Some film i uploaded on Flickr of the fire works, dunno if viewable on mobile devices...

We then went cycling at John Muir Park, just after a low cloud level sunrise broke through to clear skies at 9am... The glow of the low winter sun on the wet sand was amazing...

Mowgli is one hyper energetic Spaniel!, he just loves to run and run!...

Today i took a half day from work and drove to John Muir Park and loaded the Fat BOB Trailer  up with 5 loads of fire wood that has recently been washed into the bay here at the Tyne estuary after recent heavy rain...

Francis was out horse riding with two friends, they arrived later and i spied them on my 4th load.
Mowgli did not see me!, he would have been straight across if he had seen the fatbike!  lol...

Lovely bit of Oak-can you use a cordless chainsaw legally on the coast to saw stuff like this up?, i wonder if there is a loop hole in the law regarding cordless tools?...

Back at the car park and i met the horses in the woods going for my final load  of wood.
You know who was for following me... Mowgli!!!, he loves the fatbikes!!!...

Last load was all Oak cuttings... best of best of firewood...

Been an amazing low winter sun today...

Back home and today's haul...

Sawed and split...

Warm in coastkid HQ this evening...
