More Lammermuir Hills cycling; Lonformacus south xc loop...

 

Back up the Lammermuirs today and it was a bit grey with rain forecast for later but we headed off anyway, rain coats packed just in case...

Today we parked at Longformacus village and headed for this huge hill we both have not been up -Dirrington Great Law...

1180ft of climbing which involved a push about 3/4 the way up then flatter onto the summit...

Sheltered from the wind we had our flasks and cheese sannies before enjoying a long freewheel descent back down...

Then a short road climb took us to Black Hill Windfarm and another long descent on smooth gravel roads taking us back to the van at Longformacus...
