Saturday we rode to Lammerlaw after a load of lovely trails through woods and Estates up to the Hopes... Weather was cooler inland than forecast but the breeze was welcome once climbing onto the Lammermuirs.
After a coffee i set off along with Craig and Jason following Colin who showed me some trails i never new existed and joined together other trails i have rode, some a long time ago...
Lovely to see (and hear) an old BSA twin out enjoying the day...
Loads of trails later we popped out at the road down to the Hopes Reservoir...

Lammermuirs waited as we zoomed down into the valley, then climbed up to the dam and sat a while chatting and chilling, before the big climb of the day that waited for us...
Up there we go...
Up on the Moor...

The views up on Lammerlaw were a bit hazy but it was still nice to be up here again and see the view over the flat (from up here) farmland of East Lothian and the view across the Forth to Fife...
Soon time for the big descent of the day, i followed Colin down to film and watching the film you will see a very well ridden cross country bike, my Surly Wednesday was in it`s element with saddle dropper used and the forks and big bars and 29+ wheels taming the loose rocks,
Half way down after filming Colin i unleashed the beast and honked past, has to be the best handling hard tail bike i have owned for riding like this...
Here is film of the descent, 5 mins of fun!
