New Salsa Fatbike

This is big news...a production complete fatbike...from Salsa
called the Mukluk it will be sold complete or frameset...RRP is $1499 US dollars...
at our exchange rate that is £1000 plus import duty which is real cheap undercuts a pugsley complete build by at least £500...
it has a cool rear drop out spacer allowing you to fit offset wheels so you could run a internal hub gear or inline (regular) 29ers so if you have a pugsley you could upgrade to one bike with a 2nd 29er wheeelset..it also has fork bottle mounts...i still say they stole my idea on them!, Salsa are really big in the UK,and unlike Surly who dont seem that interested in promoting there pugsley fatbike salsa has a bike here with the additional 29er appeal which may interest people this side of the pond,i wish them all the best and consider one of them in my stable instead of 2 bikes
heres some pics...

here it is with 29er wheels...plenty tyre clearance for UK mud!

the complete bike specs...looks good...

  1. That looks like a nice bike - and a good price too. Maybe something useful for the winter weather if it gets bad? Cant see a UK distributor though which is a shame

  2. most shops deal with ISIN, the Salsa (and Surly) distributer so can get them here in the UK!,
Bike Chain Edinburgh is already on the case for a friend so should get a reatail price and avaiability date here soon!

  3. Awesome! - I'll have to check into this in the states. Looks like a descent ride, and the price is a little more in line as well. Thanks for the info.

  4. guessing at the price craigers it is about $500 cheaper than building a pugsley, that $1500 complete price will proberly be closer to £1500 UK price despite the exchange rate, thats still cheap here too!
