Midweek Sunset beachride...
With the promise of a nice sunset one evening last week i again headed to Aberlady reserve and out to Gullane Point,
We have been robbed of good sunsets in the last month or so, always a cloud bank across to the west which swallowed up the sun and all the sunset colours,
Not tonight, but it was blowing a gale and i could hardly ride the narrow sandy single track that runs along the ridge of the tops of the dunes, the tri pod kept blowing over trying to do some ride by filming so i gave up and just did some helmet cam film - but it was set too low, Doh!, Sandblasted too by the blowing sand,
So i just rode about some of the many paths behind the big dunes until sunset,
Don't surf down the dunes here as it is a Nature Reserve,
I managed to get some film night riding after sunset with the Go Pro camera on r2 setting which lets in more light, this is with one Magicshine 872 light so when the 2nd light arrives next week then we should be in business for some night riding films, the one seemed to work before all the light had disappeared above...
6.30pm...
Sand blasted again crossing the dunes to head back across the reserve...
Great to see the Pinkfoot geese coming into the Bay, must have been thousands that came in just as it got dark...
Some film, song is `6 Underground` by Sneaker Pimps
