Return to work, out in style with a big day in the hills...

Return to work this week after 3 months Furlough, and self isolation with G,
Back to work on a phase return with week on at work, then a week off on Furlough,
With Restrictions starting to ease slowly in Scotland we will soon be away Bike packing on time off heading for the hills away from the masses,
We won`t be hurrying to any Beer gardens or Food outlets and risking any infection, it's been too long being safe to throw it away...

There are still Isolation cycle blogs and films for another 2 weeks scheduled daily so look in daily here for new stuff...

July 5th...
Lammermuirs Cycle; Spartleton/Whiteadder Loop...
So for our lastly of our 3 months together we cycled into the Lammermuirs on a loop around The Whiteadder Reservoir , Its as real windy and showers blowing through forecast but we went anyway as our 3 month Bubble would change soon with G also back on Night shifts,

The climb up Spartleton...

It's a tough climb up onto Spartleton and i would have cleaned it if the front wheel had was swiped away with a crazy gust that nearly had me off!

Nearly there...

It was crazy windy up on the Summit!, but superb views again from here...

A shower was heading our way so waterproof jackets on and we descended towards a Transmitter mast we had spied last time up here and worked out this route from the OS map for today,

Down to ford the Whiteadder using stepping stones we cycled up and another short but steep climb saw the 22t front granny chainrings deployed to get up...

Tough wee hairpin this to clear as loose rough gravel and stones...

West of the Whiteadder Reservoir  we had a superb view across as we descended to Priestlaw Farm and returned to the start...
