Springtime Woodland trails

I like early spring. The countryside is mostly a shade of brown and green, Earthy colours are interrupted here and there by bright colours of Bulbs and Daffodils...

Buds are still to open on trees and nettles and thistles have still to emerge. I always spend a weekend riding the woods of the local estates where i grew up at this time of year.
I should ride my 29er bike as this is just cross country riding, but i choose the Pugsley, pumping the tyres up a bit, why?, because its more fun to ride! -:) ...

Another sign of spring in the remains of Drem airfield. This Dispersal Pen with defence battlements and bomb shelters once protected the RAF Spitfires and Hurricanes and there ground crews...

Today they provide shelter again, ahhh....

Hanging out at Luffness...

And Gosford Estates...

Clocks go forward in 2 weeks time. Lighter nights are on the way. More midweek riding after work.
Daylight trails to the coast, sunset on the beach, night ride home again on the trails...

Some film from Saturdays ride. click on 720p to view in HD

Song is `WASH` by Phontaine ft Nadia on vocals.

  3. Nice short vid. One of your best I think. Interesting perspectives, and I like how if flows from woods to estate ruins and ends at the coast.
