Northumberland beach riding; 5/8...

 


These two stone towers are in fact wooden and dressed in stone, built in 1896, and the Guile Lighthouse on this side of the narrow channel has been lit since the 1990`s, for boats entering Lindesfarne Bay and it`s harbour  between here and the Lighthouse on Heugh Hill on Lindesfarne... 




The other tower up on the point is the Guile Lighthouse with solar powered lighting...


Being a SSI  and Nature Reserve we continued to stick below the high tide line and cycled down the west side of the point then cut through back to the east stretch of beach using a Fishermans track...




Soon we would be rolling down that Hugh stretch of sand tail wind aided!,
