I rode the pub bike - the mid eighties Muddy Fox Courier over to East Linton on Thursday evening...
It was great to catch up with local fellow blogger Al
The Crown has new owners, had a make over , and reopened...
Friend and fellow Pugsley owner Derek was in so good to catch up with him as well as Al. riding home at 11.30pm, this was about as dark as it would get this evening...
So weekend off, and nothing planned to do...
I did dog sit for neighbour Owny and as always it is a pleasure to walk well behaved dogs...
`Where The Streets Have No Name...` the old buildings of a former Hospital beside where i live...
Fridays sunset was as forecasted the start of a warm weekend here in SE Scotland...
Saturday dawned with big blue skies. I was rolling by 11am, a late start for myself but i have all day and no particular place to go...
Down to Gullane at mid day and time for ice cream at COOLS Ices...
today i had a choc and vanilla double - :)
Then i rode west out to Quarry corner and across the reserve...
Luffness Golf Course has a reputation of some of the finest Links Golf Greens in Scotland, i would agree with that...
Out across Aberlady Nature Reserve...
And onto the sand at the point...
Friend Colin was out earlier on my old Karate Monkey, i knew these were his tracks.... cause he posted a pic on facebook earlier before i left home!...
2 hours to high tide, and a submerged submarine...
Gullane beach was mobbed with folk so i climbed up to the car park...
And found two British classic motorcycles parked, A BSA Bantam and a Matchless...
Nice...
I dropped down past the crater and onto Freshwaterhaven, and away from the crowds...
Onto Marine Villa, it was roasting now...
Then in land to Yellowcraig to again avoid a packed beach and dropped down onto Broadsands...
Into North Berwick and cooled down sitting at the harbour...
I went to visit Dad... dad was in good fettle today...
Then mum turned up and we all had a good blether out in the garden...
Soon it was time to get rolling again...
I had a text earlier for a pint at the Ship Inn with an old friend and fellow blogger Peter who had done a detour cycle to North Berwick on his SURLY Long Haul Trucker (LHT)
After a couple of pints and a good blether we rode south east out of town...
And i showed Ped the old road to Whitekirk he has not ridden before...
At Whitekirk Ped turned left and i right for home...
What a great days riding!
This bike still does whats written on the tin....and that is to make you grin...
