The first UK locomotive to break the passenger train 100mph speed barrier in 1934, it was in service from Edinburgh to London`s east coast line until it was retired by British Rail in 1963...
The Flying Scotsman cost £7,944 in 1922 to build, the recent restoration cost £4.2 Million..
Worth every penny and happy to have made a £10 on line donation last year to the restoration fundraiser, and now to see it roar through East Lothian again..
