Jeeps drive with friends Chain Bridge Honey farm

 

Now you have watched this you see why we have to help out John make his dream come true...

Today we took John out in the Jeeps and let him drive them for a bit to give him that extra bit enthusiasm to keep going with his project through his treatment...

We headed to the Wojtek pond to show John the trees before continuing to the recently re opened Chain Bridge on the English Border Norham and stopped at the Honey farm for a cuppa and cake...

What a place!

Back in Duns with John driving we had a chip roll,   before John drove back to Chirnside and Chris and I headed back over the Moor roads having had a great day out sharing the Jeep love and catching up with John again...

I headed for home back to the coast as the sunny was already going down at 8pm ending a great day out...

Today Bob and Thug and myself went a ride on the motorbikes down the Scottish Borders

Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Willys Jeep winter outing...

 

My Jeep still has the gearbox to be refitted after friend Callum helped me drop the box and fit a new clutch , this was way before xmas and before I had that month of Labyrinthitis and we need to get a winch set up to lift the box back up and re fit - yep we could not lying on our sides lift the gearbox - which includes the transfer box back up!, it weighs a ton! being steel pressed its not like modern alloy casings. But will get it fitted as soon be easter and hopefully warmer days on the way to go out and have fun,

Anyshow a few weeks ago I popped across to friend Chris`s farm in Berwickshire as he offered to do some roadside filming of me riding past to use in future Enfield motorbike films I have planned and we had a fun time as he took his Jeep out and across at Abbey St Bathans we got some coffee and cake along with some good jeep and bike footage, 

This toot sign has been here up the road from the village since at least 1933 as it is in a 1933 AA Road Book I have which will be featured in some featured motorbike films as is a wealth of fascinating local history...

XC Cycle on local trails with friends...

 

Out around local trails from East Fortune on Sunday with G and friends Phil and Anne up on holiday with their camper van. bone dry trails again under high pressure blue skies was the order of the day!...

Around the Perimeter (Peri) track at the former RAF Drem and a poach around some of the remaining structures...

Finally we cycled across to Balgone Lake on tacks and field boundaries to stop for a spot of lunch in the baking sun - it was roasting!, before heading up onto Whitekirk hill...

I did not take a lot of pics today but loads of film so cobbled a longer than normal film together,

Catch up and cycle with a good friend...

 

Friend Mike stopped over a night on his way home from holiday up north and it was good to catch up again, was pre covid when we last saw each other so had plenty to catch up on... next morning we got in a cycle around JMCP...
