Sunrise Commuting on the Royal Enfield Classic 350

 

A glorious morning to be out on the Royal Enfield 350 and I left early for work to allow time to stop and get some pictures , and it was worth it as stunning...

Miss the dawn and miss the day... glad I experienced this lovely sunrise....

Busy weekend at Home so a quick hour `Fat Fix` sunrise cycle out to Gullane Point,

early morning means nice and quiet with no one around and the coast to myself...

Dawn cycle at John Muir Park...

Maybe, just maybe the long winter is over and finally were getting warmer weather!,
Felt that way this weekend.  It is still April though and cool evenings, esp if an onshore easterly breeze.
Been a busy weekend, better weather so can get on with stuff in the garden, and saw more firewood, was out harvesting coppice's Sycamore, wet with sap rising it will be stacked loosely drying for two years before burning on the stove.

Sat evening and jobs done and time for a Cider and light the Chiminea in the Garden...

Two wheel forwarder!, the Charge Cooker and FatBOB trailer is ideal set up, a strong rear `Old Man Mountain` rack for the chainsaw it`s ideal for harvesting wood. One trailer load is approx 4 nights firewood, so 4 loads today is a couple of weeks once sawed, split and dried...

Sunday;
I was up early Sunday and down to the coast at John Muir Park and enjoyed a near deserted coastline to cycle,

Across the Saltmarsh to Belhaven Bay and bang on low tide at 07.50am and real low at 1.0 meter...

Bridge to nowhere...

Still loads of wood washed up awaiting uplift - there is a shed right there for someone!...

Less footprint than humans...

Out around Sandy Hirst Point and then across Hedderwick sands...

WW2 `Pigs Tails` , remains of posts for barbed wire...

Who knows what else is is buried in the bay here from WW2...

This tree is still fighting to live despite the land around it disappearing,

Filming done and  a play through the woods before heading home...

Dawn cycle along the coast...

Right,  this is a long one, but a couple of hours on the coast cycling packs in a lot...
7am low tide and forecasted clear sky with cloud rolling in mid morning meant an early rise and out on the coast to get the best of the day; early bird catches the worm... and all that...
So using mostly stills from my Go Pro HERO Session 4 camera i shot a load of film today as the morning dawned majestic with clear skies..., and guess what? loads more of those Redwood pine planks have again washed up along the shore in the last couple of days!, as the ride rolls you will see the stacks of planks again washed up!...

East Beach;
Being down in town at low tide 7am i had the coastline mostly to myself apart from early dog walkers and a couple of runners, so rode again the ace section of wind blown sand alongside the sea wall before i rode around the wall of the Victorian bathing pool...

Along stripped of sand beaches , and visually a very different looking coastline...

Broadsands to Marine Villa;
Continuing along the coast and an amazing slow sun cast long shadows on the coast as i rode along side waves breaking creating a real relaxing place to enjoy the solitude, only a couple of dog walkers sharing a deserted  beach...

More film, this had some mono pod making the most of the sunrise...

Marine Villa;
Above the coastline now and along the cliff top sandy singletrack trails above Hanging rocks, before dropping back to the coastline...

Turning round i rode a lovely section of sandy singletrack trail through grassy dunes...
