Midweek Cycle; Secret Trail

The trees are about to open their buds and the woods will soon be full of leaves and a lot darker with the tree canopy, it transforms the trails from what they look like this now when you can see through the woods and the trails are more open and easier to ride when dry as they have been this late winter into springtime...

The trails are also easier to film point to point with the visibility...

The Secret Trail path seems to have a lot more foot traffic in the last few years as it`s entrance/exit (depending on direction) have been opened up and the roots are more exposed then before so a good challenge, 4" Fatbike wheels are easier to ride this route now than 29+ wheels as the roots have become more technical...

Midweek Cycle; Post work cycle; Secret Trail...

Another film from a previous evening cycle at Tyninghame, and i took advantage of the quiet woods and did a film along the Secret Trail with the chest mounted Go Pro camera...

Some stills from the Go Pro, the roots are getting more and more exposed with the amaount of foot traffic making the trail more challenging, esp if wet, this evening it was dry with the wind so was easy going...

Weekend...

Was an ace weekend, home and a quiet Friday evening, then out a walk with M at Gullane and surprised at the lack of sand under Gullane cliffs!, look at the exposed rocks!

I have made films riding right under the cliffs!...

Down to NB and Hendo`s 50th Birthday,  the Posses unmasked...

Home early evening and good friend Mike arrived,  up for a couple of days doing the Uplift at Innerleithen,

Now when Mike comes to stay over he always bring some sweet bikes,  and along with his Surly Ice Cream Truck Fatbike for a beach ride the next day he had his downhill rigs he had used today and Friday, and like me he sources stuff secondhand and likes to be a bit different...

Lucky to see another Diamondback Downhill bike... and with tuned suspension...

And his Enduro rig...

And that PUSH tuned coil shock cost the original purchaser around £1000...

Sweet ride...

Time to fire up the Chiminea and open some Ciders...

A Combine was out until near Midnight...

As were we sitting out until dark and a full Harvest Moon rose... and a nice Rum to night cap the evening...

Sunday and despite the forecast of heavy rain we were out on the Fatbikes and so far it war more or less dry with just light drizzle...

A wet day here on the coast, so just to prove it sometimes does rain here a rain post!...

I was down at Tyninghame and along the Secret Trail, with the flat light time for some black and white...

Hour Fat fix at Tyninghame...

A lazy Saturday  and so a quick fix hour ride to Tynighame on the Surly Wednesday,

Low tide but kept off the wet sand to save washing the bike as also riding tomorrow...

Ravensheugh, looking north over Peffersands...

I have not used the Go Pro HERO 4 Session i bought last summer on the chest cam so looked that out for this morning. Good thing with a chest cam is along with getting the riders view you don't have much editing to do to knock up a short film...
