`One Hour fix` Cycle at JMCP...

Last Weekend we were out a wee cycle at John Muir Country Park (JMCP)

With a high tide midday we went a ride around the woods. Its amazing how many of the blown Scots Pine trees from Storm Arwen are actually still growing despite have there roots pulled out when they were pushed over, Needles still green on the living trees...

It was still quite warm in the shelter of the woods but there is a real change in wind temperatures now as Summer gives way to Autumn...

We stopped by the Alpacas and one came to say hello!...

We film of only an hour ride which still clocked up 6 miles despite just having a bimble...

Fatbike cycle across Buist`s Embankment to Tyninghame...

Not every day you see a badger up close in daylight!, but it was one of todays delights out a solo cycle with G asleep after nightshifts...

With the buckthorn recently cut back at the start of the Buist`s Embankment west of John Muir Park I decided to ride across to Tyninghame,

Not a lot of pictures today as I was doing a lot of filming as planned to add some audio once it was edited up....

Once along the banking and over the bridge I did some beachcombing - found another WW2 Hispano 20mm shell casing then went and had a look at the WW2 Machine gun pill box that some once recently cleared the encroaching sea buckthorn and all the rubbish that had been left in them has been tidied up - which is good as they relics of the WW2 should be left clean and tidy and for people with an interest in WW2 local history to go have a look at...

Back across to The John Muir Way trail and a few nasty Brambles wee trimmed by myself so having added my bit of trail tidying work headed for home....

Film edited upon I added some narrative, hope you enjoy...

Another Lammermuir Hills gravel xc cycle; Abby St Bathans

Another superb xc loop today on our Surly KramPugs 29+ bikes and a good variety of tracks , trails and scenery in a 16 mile loop starting at Abby St Bathans...

Farm that G grew up at...

Bad tree destruction here from Storm Arwen....

OOPS!

Err yeah that's my Go Pro Camera I managed to drop over the side of the bridge while filming!

I`m not a great swimmer so G said she would go get it to save any drama - she does have lifesaving certificates after alll, it was deep around the bridge so she had to swim across to get it...

Legend!

Definitely need to get a lanyard for the future!, but to be fare in over 12 years filming with Go Pro camera that is the first time I have nearly lost one, does not help with MS fumbling hands...

Anyhows all finished well with a good day cycling and a laugh at the end - been a different story if winter!...
