Sunshine before the showers... Winter Barley harvest done...

The weather was on the side of getting the Winter Barley finished here at Whitekirk yesterday as the day dawned clear with a breeze...

The sky was slowing filling with fair weather clouds that would later darken as the approaching rain fore casted arrived...

The last field was finished just in time before the rain came on!..

Harvesting north of my work also...

All done!...

Tried out my new Alpkit paclite waterproofs i bought last month on a detour offroad commute home and can report i`m impressed with their breathable properties!...

Result!...

Only negative is a soaked courier bag from no Crud catcher mudguard!...

This will be the last pic of the recent build orange/yellow  Pugsley like this as i`m stripping it to rebuild it as a 4" Fatbike to sadly sell as got another car bill to pay for from the last breakdown... and also deciding i`m selling most of my bikes and just gonna have 3 Fatbikes- two with 29+ options as got so many other things i want to/need to spend money on than bikes... no more N+ want for a while...

Midweek Cycle; more harvest activity...

Showers stopped midday, after work i took a detour home throughthe harvested fields...

With Barley too wet  to cut bales were being lifted out the fields...

More dark clouds approched from the west...

That shower never reached here though i thought it was going to be an overcast and wet evening,
By 7pm the approaching rain had headed inland and the sky broke up and it was a fantastic evening
I grabbed the bike to go see if the harvest was back on, and it was!...

Was a couple of hours of amazing light...

Game on!...

Harvest at Whitekirk...

Winter Barley harvest is underway around Whitekirk!,  Saturday and Sunday fields were harvested to the north around Gleghornie...

This morning the drone of the big Claas could be heard at Bank field...

After work i went to watch and thumb a lift with Drew...

Home for some food then back later in the evening!...

 With sunset around 10pm it`s a long 15 hour day for the farmers...

Lovely sky as i cycled home...
