Back on the coast...
February is usually the month we see some snow here on the coast in East Lothian, but none yet here although the hills got some, we have just had a frozen perma frost that lasted 5 days, crunchy iced roads commuting, and made for nice views outside at work...
Cool it has been this last week, but not too cool to enjoy an ice cream at Cools Ices in Gullane,
Now we do not get payed overtime at weekends (we work 2 hours Sat and Sun every 4th weekend) we have to take the 4 hours off during the week, how daft is that?, and in summer it will be 6 hours as we mow greens- yes do the sums, down a man for most of the day every week, so anyways despite the pay cut of not getting payed for weekend work i am making the most of it and going cycling, and i went out Thursday affy with mate Craig around Gullane, and has an ice cream after... :)
Saturday;
Dawned cold with a frost...
Another day out on the green Pugsley...
Today i met Brian at North Berwick for a ride west to Aberlady Bay...
Same old same old... but always nice to have an easy ride on the coast , taking it easy on the flat stuff at a very low tide and chewing the fat...
And that`s a wrap...

Into February... Sunday winter sun...
That's the calender filled in for the month! :)
Sunday winter sun;
Stuarty and Mark came out to play on Sunday, we had a ride around Tyninghame, fantastic winter sunshine and light on the coast-unreal how many good days weather we have had this winter!, loving it,,,
snapped chain twice today for Stuarty!
Big tumbling surf again today...
And fantastic light...
Well timed!...
Stuck the Go Pro camera on along the secret trail, named `secret` as many visitors to the coast walk right past the trail entrances to the main paths as their eyes are drawn to the coast and the sea, then often surprised to see riders in the wood above them as they walk along the shoreline..

Meanwhile behind me...
Was Mark and he had his Sony sports camera looking behind on his 907- here was the trail where we had been...
Moving on and another chain snap for Stuarty!...
Can you clean this climb at Mosshouse point?, i cannot, Sanny was first to clean it, now Stuarty has too!...
And along to Tyninghame cafe for soup and a roll and a pot of tea...
Home via some of the river tyne trail...
As the sun got lower, shadows longer, and temperatures began to drop...
I love winter cycling here on the coast...great to share the day with friends too...
Here is a wee film Mark made of the day with his Sony Sports cam...
More soon...

End of January; a cold cold week...
End of the month and slowly the days grow longer,
The UK has had a lot of snow in many areas, none here though!, a great pic that appeared on Facebook after a week of TV hype about the weather-which is normal January weather!...
Just a dusting on the local Lammermuir hills which has thawed with daytime temperatures.
At least the roads are dry to commute with all the mud frozen, as was everything at work...
Well not all mud was frozen!, a tractor must have accidentally dumped this on the road!, it was lifted before it got dark, could have been quite dangerous, good traffic calming measure though!...
Saturday;
Couple of hours spent riding the old Pugsley around John Muir Park, was mostly overcast sky and the wind chill was real cold,
I stuck the Barr Mitts on , and along with the new jacket, and windproof Surly jeans i was toasty warm...
And enjoyed a near deserted coastline... can you see the Starfish?...
Only took 2 pics today!, but did some filming with the Go Pro, the light was not great for filming but the tumbling surf was impressive,
