A 853 Reynolds tubed Tourer i converted to disc brake and with wide 41mm tyres, and Alpkit cross bars,  makes for a real comfy ride off roader for a 700c wheel bike,
A real magic carpet ride...

Saturday Cycle...

Saturday, Dry enough for combines to start harvesting the Oil Seed Rape, as we wait for the main event for Cycling harvested fields,  i met with Craig for a loop around local trails and the odd harvested barly field...

Hops...

Butterdean Woods and never seen it so dry in here!...

We rode a loop of the woods and the trals that criss cross the wood then dropped down to Macmerry and cycled  more old green roads through Seaton Hill....

 At Cottyburn i showed Craig the Ivy covered remains of what was once a roadside Inn...

Then we cycled to Trabroun, an old farm with a cool old weigh bridge i never noticed that friend Phil seen last week,  sometimes a fresh pair of eyes shows stuff you never noticed!...

Easy Sunday cycle...

Always nice showing friends around your back yard trails,stuff you maybe take for granted and fresh eyes can highlight things you had not noticed or knew what somethings purpose once was,
This old farm building is one of few old steadings undeveloped into expensive housing and friend Chris who has spent much of his life farming showed Phil and i a few details...

Moving on and along to Seacliff and stopped in at the old ruin perched on the cliff that has fascinating stone work...

Cafe stop at Tyninghame village cafe then a play in the fords, one a bit too deep lol

Last stop of the ride at Smeaton Mill and it`s Salmon ladder before back to HQ for a cuppa...
